From the PARcore Data Visualization Studio Landing Page, navigate to this report by selecting the CSEM Report icon.   This report is only applicable for requests that include the Analysis Type of Item Response Theory with an Equate analysis selected and the optional analysis of "Conditional Standard Error of Measurement".  If this request does not include any analyses with "Conditional Standard Error of Measurement" selected the report will not appear on the landing page and cannot be selected.

The bento box menu icon at the top left of the report can be used to navigate back to the Landing Page.

Choose Filters for CSEM report

Refer to Visualize Results for general information about filter navigation for any report.  The filter for this report is:

  • Analysis - select one analysis sequence number to view at a time.  The analysis sequence number will reflect the sequencing from Request Details for this request.
    • Upon first initializing this dashboard, the filter will display as (Choose your analysis) and a selection must be made.
      • Select the search icon (magnifying glass) and enter search text to see Analysis filter options for the request you are viewing.
      • Using an asterisk in the search text box will display all possible analyses to choose from.
    • Once the current analysis results have been reviewed, continue to use the search feature or utilize the slider arrows (< and >) to view each analysis one at a time.  If there is only one analysis for this report the navigation buttons will be disabled.
    • The analysis template name used for this request analysis as well as the score being analyzed will also be included in the filter description.
    • Only analyses that include the "Conditional Standard Error of Measurement" optional analysis will be available in this filter.
  • Report View- select the radio button for the preferred report view.  The default display is "Chart and Table", which will provide both the CSEM charts and the table of statistics.  If desired, change the view to "Chart Only" to collapse the table of statistics display and maximize the charts to full screen.

CSEM Charts

There are two charts displayed.

  • The top line graph chart displays the CSEM values plotted against the score separately for new and reference.
    • The x-axis score will be Scale Score if the optional reference form conversion request was included in the request details, or Raw Score if there is no reference form conversion included.
    • A legend indicates that the thicker red line is for the reference statistics, and the thinner blue line are the new statistics.
    • A tooltip displays when hovering over either line to reveal the CSEM value and score value at that data point.

  • A difference chart is included beneath the CSEM graph.   The difference between the New Form CSEM and Reference Form CSEM is displayed for each score value.
    • The x-axis score will be Scale Score if the optional reference form conversion request was included in the request details, or Raw Score if there is no reference form conversion included.
    • A tooltip displays when hovering over the difference line to reveal the difference value and score value at that data point.

If desired, utilize the zoom feature to expand any of the plots to get a closer view of a set of data points.  Refer to Visualize Results for general information about zoom functionality.

CSEM Table of Statistics

If "Chart and Table" view is selected, the right side of the report will include a list of the CSEM statistics for the analysis.  This table includes the following:
  • Score:  This will be either the Raw Score or Scale Score, depending upon whether a reference conversion was included in this analysis.
  • New Form statistics:
    • Raw Score
    • Raw Score CSEM
    • Scale Score CSEM (if applicable)
  • Reference form statistics:
    • Equated Raw Score
    • Raw Score CSEM
    • Scale Score CSEM (if applicable)

If the analyses being viewed also had the "Include Reliability and Average SEM" option in request details, the additional statistics of "Average SEM" and "Reliability" are displayed beneath this table for both the raw score CSEMs and scale score CSEMs (if applicable).

Additional statistics are produced and available to users beyond what is presented in the Data Visualization Studio.  Refer to the RTSSTAT API and Download Statistics help documentation for more information regarding accessing all of the available statistics produced.
