Information about the request that is being viewed are displayed at the top, including the request number, admin, test, form ID or package ID, and user form code.

Choose Filters

Choose filters

Refer to Visualize Results for general information about filter navigation for any report.  The filter for this report is:

  • Analysis - select one analysis sequence number to view at a time.  The analysis sequence number will reflect the sequencing from Request Details for this request.
    • Upon first initializing this dashboard, the filter will display as (Choose your analysis) and a selection must be made.
      • Select the search icon (magnifying glass) and enter search text to see Analysis filter options for the request you are viewing.
      • Using an asterisk in the search text box will display all possible analyses to choose from.
    • Once the current analysis results have been reviewed, continue to use the search feature or utilize the slider arrows (< and >) to view each analysis one at a time.  If there is only one analysis for this report the navigation buttons will be disabled.
    • The analysis template name used for this request analysis will also be included in the filter description.

  • Distribution Statistic
    • This is a radio button filter selection where users can view each statistic one at a time for each distribution group.  The statistics that are available are Ability, a-parameter, and b-parameter.
    • Only one distribution statistic can be viewed at a time.  By default the view is set to Ability.

  • Display Group
    • This is a dropdown menu option that will be populated with the available distribution groups based on the Distribution Statistic filter selection.
    • By default, the "All Abilities" group is selected because the default Distribution Statistic shown is Ability.
    • When changing the "Distribution Statistic" radio button selection, the user must reselect a new Distribution Group if the previous selection is not relevant for the newly selected Distribution Statistic.  A blank display will appear until a valid Distribution Group is chosen.
    • When Distribution Statistic = "Ability"
      • The Distribution Group of "All Abilities" will always be available to view.
      • If the request details option to have additional ability distributions by Form was selected, there will be additional dropdown menu options for each Form in this analysis.  If that request option was not chosen the only group will be "All Abilities".
      • Distributions by LIC or AU are not created for Ability.
    • When Distribution Statistic = "a-parameter" or "b-parameter"
      • The Distribution Group of "All Items : Dichotomous" and/or "All Items: Polytomous" will always be available to view.
      • If the request details option to have additional ability distributions by Form, LIC, and/or AU  was selected, there will be additional dropdown menu options for each Form, LIC, and/or AU in this analysis.

Summary Statistics section

The summary statistics for the selected analysis, statistic, and group will appear in a table on the left of the report screen.

  • The Statistics to Display filter has a set of default statistics pre-selected for display.  If needed, change the filter selections to modify which statistics are displayed in this section of the report.  Only statistics stored for the analysis being viewed are available in the filter menu.
    • If changing the default filter selection values, any selection changes will persist when changing the analysis, statistic, or group being viewed.

  • An ellipsis will display at the end of any statistic value that is truncated due to length.  A tooltip appears when hovering over a statistic value to display the full rounded statistic value without truncation.

Frequency Distributions section
The frequency distributions for the selected analysis, statistic, and group will appear in a table on the right of the report.

  • The Distribution Columns to Display filter has a set of default statistics pre-selected for display.  If needed, change the filter selections to modify which statistics are displayed in this section of the report.  Only statistics stored for the analysis being viewed are available in the filter menu.
    • If changing the default filter selection values, any selection changes will persist when changing the analysis, statistic, or group being viewed.

Trouble Shooting Common Issues

COMMON ISSUE:  Blank tables appear when there is an invalid filter selection
  • This is most commonly seen when changing the Distribution Statistic radio button.  Because the "Distribution Group" selection does not automatically change, if the current selection is not valid for the newly selected Distribution Statistic there will be no report displayed until you also change the "Distribution Group" selection.
  • RESOLUTION:   Ensure all of your filter selections are valid.  Reselect any filter that is not currently valid.
