The following are details specific to Analysis Type: Item Response Theory.
When you are creating, editing, or duplicating an analysis template for Item Response Theory, the following options are available:
Note: There are 3 sub-analysis types included in the IRT template. When adding a new template, all 3 are defaulted to No. At least one of the sub-analysis under Item Response Theory must be switched to Yes to be able to save the template.
- Calibration
- Produces Calibration, Summarized Statistics and Graphs for the selected LIC(s).
- Setting the 'Produce Calibration' toggle to Yes displays all options within this section of the template. For more information on the options and actions related to Calibration, see Calibration.
- TBLT
- Produces Transformation of parameters based on common items selections, Summarized Statistics and Graphs for the selected item(s) or LIC(s).
- Setting the 'Produce TBLT' toggle to Yes displays all options within this section of the template. For more information on the options and actions related to TBLT, see TBLT.
- Equating
- Produces Equating, Summarized Statistics and Graphs for the selected LIC(s).
- Setting the 'Produce Equating' toggle to Yes displays all options within this section of the template. For more information on the options and actions related to Equating see Equating.
Statistics Tags
Once all required selections in the Analysis Template tab have been entered, the Statistics Tags tab becomes available.

- Item Response Theory templates have item-level and test-level tags available to be configured.
- Tags selected in the analysis template are the default tags used in an analysis request using that template. Tag overrides can be performed for the following:
- By item (selecting by item, LIC, or AU) in Tag Statistics (AFTER a request is run). See Tag Statistics for more information.
When viewing a template, In the Statistics Tags tab:
- Check marks show default test-level tag selections configured during template creation.
